The growth of

 FLOWER CURATOR

Inspired by my grandfather's past love and passion for breeding Dahlias in his Gisborne garden, I have taken an interest in cultivating and nurturing these beautiful blooms myself.

The more I learnt about them, the more I wanted to grow a garden full of them.

Planting the seed

Four years ago, my husband and I bought a countryside property in Rotokauri, Hamilton. It had additional space which was initially intended for a shed. However, last year my gardening obsession quickly took over, with the subtle encouragement of a friend, the hands on help from my husband and family, the once lonesome paddock soon transformed into a garden of full Dahlias.

I quickly realised that creating this garden was the perfect opportunity to fulfil my dream of sharing mine and my grandfather's mutual love and passion for Dahlias with you.

This is when the idea of FLOWER CURATOR bloomed.

The bloom

Flower Curator has been a collective effort from the whole family. My husband cut the flower beds, my dad helps with the annual tuber planting and my kids are always keen to help out. With the work that we have put in over the past year, I would love to share the beauty of Dahlia’s with you by welcoming you to my garden for your chance to pick your own to take home or give to a special someone.

In the meantime, feel free to get in touch.

I would love to hear from you.
